Mick has been a full-time professional outdoor development facilitator for over 15 years,focussing development of people and teams through 'experiential learning', essentiallyin the fields of challenge and adventure.He is passionate about the value of challenge and adventure not only as a tool for teamand personal development but as an essential and cutting edge approach to the developmentof winning organisations in the 21st century.

Mick comes to the industry through the vocational route with grass roots experience running his own business, leading adventurous expeditions overseas and 10 years reserve service as an Officer in the British Army. This diverse melting pot has given Mick a well-rounded approach to developing people and teams within a business and organisational context.

Mick has co-published work on the effectiveness of learning transfer in the outdoor development arena, and building on this devises courses and programmes based on sound academic rationale with appropriate mixtures of activity and reflective workshops.
